How to Convert Percent to Decimal or Fraction (Video and Quiz)
One thing you should always keep in mind is that Percent (%) means 1/100 . So If I want to convert anything it should always be divided by 100 or Multiply with 1/100 it means the same thing.
Let’s try solving some examples.
Question: Convert 50% into fraction
Answer: 50% = 50/100
As we explained above you have to divide by. So 50% became 50/100
50/100 = 1/2
So after dividing we got 1/2. This is the answer.
Question: Convert 50% to a decimal.
50% = 50/100
= 1/2
= 0.5
(if you divide 1/2 you get 0.5 which is the answer)
One last question: Convert 30% to fraction and decimal
30% = 30/100
= 3/10 (this is the fraction value)
= 0.33 (this is the decimal value)
(since it is not fully divisible, it will be coming like 0.333333333……you can stop at 0.33 or 0.333 whatever you prefer)
